A WATCH DOG FOR CARMEL TAXPAYERS
When the Carmel Town Board passed its last four budgets, when they ok’d contracts without oversight or competitive bidding, and when they pushed resolutions after secretive “Executive Sessions”, Jean has been there, standing up and asking the tough questions. It’s this courage and vigilance that Jean will bring to the Board as Council Woman. From No-Bid contracts to improper deals, Jean will dig into every transaction to ensure that the taxpayers of Carmel aren’t footing the bill for mismanagement or hand-outs.
A HELPING HAND AROUND TOWN
The hardest and most needed work is never glamorous, but it’s what Jean has always volunteered for. As a 28-year resident with her husband David, Jean has pitched in her service and made sure the job got done, whether it was as a PTO member, a Scout leader or a Friend of MHS Drama. As a Council Woman, Jean will be there for Carmel day-in, day-out doing the hard work of making our town a better place for everyone.
A MOM WHO WORKS WITH KIDS
Jean put her retail management career on hold to raise her kids, and when her son joined the Army and her daughter left for college, Jean returned to the workforce providing needed support for the everyday work of educating children. She cooked students’ lunches, got them to school safely and helped students with special needs as a Teacher’s Aid. Jean knows how many people it takes to support and educate the next generation, and she’ll bring her experience to mobilize the hard work we need to make our town flourish for every family.
